Ruling the Roost

Adam is in Cynthiana until tomorrow so Mr. Luke is our one and only. It is so quiet here without our four year old and I think Bucky misses Adam meeting him at the door the most. It's funny, but the whole world stops when Dad comes home.

Luke slept through the night again last night. This happens most nights. He's smiling and cooing and doing so much. I know I should be relaxing today when Luke rests but I've cleaned and done laundry and other things. Maybe I'll rest this afternoon. I was going to visit UCES this morning to see some friends, but after learning that many kids were out and some with confirmed flu, we stayed here. Bucky didn't come home for lunch but we're grilling out steaks for supper before he heads to Laker Lanes for the church bowling league.

Too Cute

Luke smiling but Adam was trying to watch TV.

Here's the picture of Adam in the outfit I posted of Luke earlier. I think Adam was maybe 6 weeks old. How funny!
Adam's first trip to Chuck E. Cheese was yesterday when we went to Bowling Green. We didn't eat and just went to play games with a gift card Terri sent. However, as we were walking in this guy gave us a handful of tokens. We used them and didn't even have to use the gift card. Guess we'll go again!
Adam has his picture made in this same outfit. I need to get it out of the album and
compare the two.

This is Luke's shirt from Joy. If you notice it has #18 on it. This was Luke Burton's football number. How special!

It takes all of us to keep clean bottles ready for Luke. This is Adam sporting his new pajama look--underwear. Just like his dad!

Luke and I are home tonight. We all put on our Laker wear and were headed to the Laker Homecoming. However, the rain put an end to that. It was only sprinkling and was probably going to stop when I made the decision to come home. Since I'm going for Mother of the Year I figured Mr. Eight Weeks Old didn't need to be out in the cool, damp weather. I'm watching the game on the Duo-County channel. It's cool because I can see Buck and Adam on the sidelines. Superstars!

It's been a pretty uneventful week. We play cars and read books and do projects and the days come and go. Hard to believe I don't really have that much more time here at home. While I am an early bird for the most part, it will be different to actually have to "get ready" when I get up when I do go back to school. It will be hard to get back to reality.

Adam's funny thing of the day: Today while I was feeding Luke he got behind my chair and was very quiet. When he came out he had a funny look on his face. I looked down and he had filled his underwear with Hot Wheel cars. There must have been 10 in there! It was hilarious! He always says, "Does that crack you up?" This certainly did!

Luke is smiling and cooing more and more each day. We are making 6 oz. bottles for the most part for him. He doesn't always finish the whole thing, but usually takes more than 4 oz.

Gonna go play with my little fella. Life is good.

Happy Grandparents Day

Adam and Luke send their love to Gran, Granddad, Nana, and Poppy today on Grandparents Day. This is Luke's first official craft. Too cute!
Adam did awesome in Sunday School today. Ms. Dana said he was a great listener and answered eight of the questions. He got 8 Tootsie Rolls and also some stickers. This was a welcome bit of knowledge after he did not do well at the Gossage fish fry last night. Adam didn't have a nap and on the third meltdown we headed, no ran, for the house.
