It's been a wild couple of days. We had our sleepover at school on Friday night, the RCMS Lakers won the conference championship on Saturday, and then Bucky went to the Bengals game on Sunday and we had church and then a worship team gathering at night. It's been a whirlwind. It's been a slower night tonight. Adam and I have done some crafts and also worked on our Christmas lists. Nana and KK are doing some early shopping. It will be time for all of us to shop soon. Adam poured water on the bathroom floor last night after I had just been in to check on him. He did this a few weeks ago and we made it clear that he could not do this. As punishment, he had to take a quick bath tonight. This sounds like nothing, but to Adam it was cruel and unusual. He LOVES bathtime and so he cried after I washed him and then emptied the water. I think he got the point.
Adam and I went to Story Hour at the library today. They read two books, learned a pumpkin song, and then did some crafts. The highlight of the afternoon was the filmstrip (yep, I said FILMSTRIP) of the Berestain Bears and the Detectives. It was like I was at Eastside Elementary School all over again. To beat all, when it was over, she unwound the filmstrip and let the kids make shadow puppets. Small town USA at its best.

Daaannnggg - did the adults play "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego" while the kids watched the "filmstrip"? That's awesome. :) Actually, I played old school Oregon Trail on vacation last year - thanks to Patrick. Eastside indeed (although that may have even been middle school).

I learned medical terminology at the Vocational School on film strips and I still remember the pictures to this day. And for the record I LOVED me some Oregon Trail... except when I died of dysentery.
